Atmosphere at 2418 Professor Avenue in Tremont and an avid art collector who took a big leap when he decided to leave the computer industry to pursue his passion of collecting and selling art.
Christianson acquired the space for Atmosphere in October 2003 but didn't open until May 2004, primarily due to a side gig he picked up working on the road with Duran Duran throughout the U.S. and Australia.
Christianson first opened Atmosphere with his own private collection of artwork. After that collection sold well, he quickly had to develop new ways of obtaining and selling artwork.
The underlying criterion for the work he brings into the gallery is uniqueness. He only considers portfolios that offer something unusual that he has never seen before. This varying aspect of Atmosphere's collection makes the gallery's shows all the more stimulating.
